FAQs
Are out of town Tournaments Mandatory?
As much as we would love for each of our athletes to experience travel and competing against national teams, travel is not mandatory. If your athlete would like to just play local, that is fine.
Are parents required to travel with Athletes?
We understand as parents, scheduling out of town tournaments in your calendar can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. If you cannot make it to an out-of-town tournament, your child can ride and room with the Coach and other athletes. There will be a fee for transportation along with room and board unless you have made other arrangements.
Can parents stay at Air BnBs with Students?
For the safety of the athletes, only male parents and male athletes are allowed to stay overnight at rooming facilities. Others are welcome to spend time throughout the day with our athletes where they stay but must leave when it is time for our team to get some rest.
Do Athletes have to ride and stay with Coach and Other Athletes?
Absolutely not. This is not mandatory. Athletes are welcome to ride and stay with Parents during tournaments and out of town trips.
Does my athlete have to participate in individual fundraising?
Individual fundraising is in place to assist those who may need a hand with membership fees and/or travel fees. It is NOT mandatory.
How much are the fees?
To become a Team Grit Athlete one must attend tryouts. If selected there is a one-time membership fee that covers athletes’ uniform and membership. Afterwards there will be a monthly fee due on the 15th of every month. This fee is to maintain the team and to pay for tournaments, practice, etc.
